ENA-6-Profile
ENA-6-Profile is an ELISA test system for the qualitative determination of IgG antibodies against six extractable nuclear antigens (ENA), SS-A (Ro 52, Ro 60), SS-B, Sm, RNP/Sm, Scl-70 and Jo-1 in human serum or plasma. The test aids to the diagnosis of inflammatory rheumatic connective tissue diseases.
Antibodies against ENA are typically found in patients with lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjoegren’s syndrome, Sharp syndrome, polymyositis/dermatomyositis, and progressive systemic scleroderma (PSS). Some of these antibodies serve as markers for individual connective tissue diseases. Individual detection of these antibodies with the ENA-6-Profile test thus makes it possible to differentiate these diseases.
The ENA-6-Profile test is based on a modular principle: Each kit contains two color-coded strips for each antigen. Each strip has eight wells coated with an individual highly purified antigen target.
